Woody Durham Inducted into the National Sports Media Association’s Hall of Fame

The late Woody Durham, longtime radio voice of the North Carolina Tar Heels, was inducted into the National Sports Media Association’s Hall of Fame last Monday. His son Wes Durham, the voice of the Atlanta Falcons, accepted the award on behalf of his father, who passed away in March after a 2016 diagnosis of PPA. Durham is just the second college play-by-play sportscaster to be inducted into the NSMA Hall of Fame. Last fall, Wes told his father’s story as part of AFTD’s Think It’s Alzheimer’s? Think Again awareness campaign.
