Telegraph column

In a personal account that speaks to the ways FTD steals the people we love, the wife of a man living with a form of the disease shares how she feels like a “widow with a husband” as his condition declines.

Claire Taylor writes about her husband Bruce’s journey with primary progressive aphasia (PPA) in a column published by the Telegraf, from the onset of symptoms in his mid-50s to an initial misdiagnosis and the eventual progression of the disease.

She also describes her own journey, sharing how she has adjusted to providing care for both her husband and their teenage sons, as well as the emotions she has faced as she slowly loses her husband to the disease.

The column is dostępny online Do Telegraf Premium subscribers.
