Community Information Session: Learn More About AFTD’s March 5th Externally Led PFDD Meeting

February 4, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm EST

Community Info Session, February 4

On February 4, AFTD will host an online Community Information Session, providing information and answering questions about  the upcoming AFTD-hosted virtual Externally Led Patient Focused Drug Development (EL-PFDD) meeting.

The Externally Led PFDD meeting, to be held March 5, will give all whose lives have been affected by  FTD the chance to share their direct experience with representatives from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

For this information session, AFTD staff will be joined by drug-regulation experts and former FDA employees Larry Bauer and James E. Valentine. You will have the chance to learn how the FDA uses Externally Led PFDD meetings to better understand diseases such as FTD, and why the March 5 PFDD meeting represents such a unique opportunity to make your voice heard and help shape future treatments.

The community information session will cover the following topics:

  • Background on the FDA and drug development
  • Introduction to EL-PFDD meetings
  • Meeting logistics and tips on participating.

The March 5 EL-PFDD meeting is a one-time opportunity to share with the FDA your experience of living with FTD. It doesn’t matter where you live or where you are in your journey — what matters is your story.

Register for the Community Information Session today.
