Our August Athletes of the Month are the Davis family from Michigan: Jordan, Randi, Kim, Brittany and Reis Davis, and Deb Mato (not pictured). As a team they have completed over 2,460 miles to support AFTD’s mission through the Aplicación Millas benéficas!

Together, they walk and run to honor and celebrate the life of their husband, father, and friend, Kev, who was diagnosed with FTD.

“We walk to raise awareness and fund research for FTD, with the hope that [one day] no more families will have to endure this journey. We walk for all of the exhausted caregivers. We walk alongside you as part of your army, hoping we can be a ray of sunshine through your thunderstorm. We walk because, no matter how hard the journey of FTD was, we miss Kev like crazy.”

Through the Charity Miles app, the Davis family has found a fun and easy way to give back in support of AFTD’s mission while also promoting physical fitness and brain health by getting out and getting active together.
