Abrar Tanveer is running the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati, OH on May 3, 2020 in memory of his father, Shakeel Tanveer, who was diagnosed with PPA in 2016, and passed away December 26, 2019. Abrar decided to run his first marathon in his hometown because of a promise he made to his father when he was younger—Abrar asked his father why he never ran a marathon, his father replied, while laughing, “I have bad knees and I’m old. When you get older though Abrar you can run one for me.”

In less than 10 hours of his fundraising page being live, Abrar reached his goal of $2,000 raised towards AFTD’s mission! He’s increased his goal to $10,000 and is on track to achieve that too. You can visit his page by haciendo clic aquí, and follow his training as he posts updates.
