Blake Ovard from Cleburne, TX is planning the inaugural Kim Ovard Ride to Remember, a 700-mile bicycle ride from Newton, KS to Burleson, TX. The event is named after his wife, who was diagnosed with FTD in 2015. He will begin his four to five day journey on September 19th at the Newton Bike Shop on the Trans American Bike Trail. The ride will be mostly a gravel and dirt road adventure, following closely the old Chisholm Trail. Fellow cyclists are welcome to ride the entire length of the course, or just a portion of it, alongside Blake.
